Japanese Yokohama Rubber has announced the launch of a new model of all-position fuel-saving BluEarth 722L tires for trucks and buses transporting goods and passengers over long distances. The new product is designed to help reduce transportation costs on long-haul and interregional routes, offering significant improvements in fuel efficiency while providing high levels of wear resistance and protection against uneven wear.
The new truck tire borrows the tread pattern from the Yokohama BluEarth 711L model, which has the highest fuel efficiency in the history of Yokohama truck tire production, and is also made from a special fuel-saving compound with an optimized mixture of raw materials. As a result, the new Yokohama BluEarth 722L achieves fuel efficiency close to the BluEarth 711L, and outperforms the market-leading ZEN 702ZE-i in wear resistance, uneven wear resistance and wet performance.
In addition, wet performance remains consistently high as it wears, thanks to a high-density sipe pattern that spans the entire tread depth. The BluEarth 722L also provides excellent traction during acceleration and reliable braking on wet roads, contributing to the tire’s “safety-running” throughout its service life.
